Training for People that Care

I have gained many new skills and now fully understand how to be an effective leader or manager. This course has given me the skills and knowledge to effectively deal with situations that may arise and has enabled me to see how leaders and managers can support and encourage their staff and gain respect within their role. Hazel was very supportive and informative and was always on hand to answer any questions I had. She always gave me the opportunity to interact with her and we had many discussions which helped me greatly. I found discussions and tutor sessions the most useful as they gave me a clear insight when completing my assignments. I would like to undertake an Internal quality assurance course or end point assessment.

This course has given me great insight into mental health needs of young people, especially those within the residential system. The course has assisted with the approach to managing behaviours and understanding the impact of childhood neglect

The young people in my care tend to have had multiple placements prior to coming to live at our centre. This course has given me insight into the discrimination they have endured due to their poor mental health .I now understand how isolating this is, and how this effects individual’s . The trainer was friendly and clear and give opportunity for interaction, using her own personal experiences and that of working with young people Sharing stories both personally and professionally ,was extremely interesting and useful. In the future I would like to do a course on child exploitation.

I have gained lots of knowledge and further understand regarding Special Education Needs and Disabilities. I am now more aware of what more we can offer in our setting. Not only for our children but for their families. I now have a greater awareness and understanding along with being more inclusive of their needs. I will be able to use My skills and knowledge gained from this course is in the setting From the skills and knowledge I have gained from this course ,I have already implemented many positive changes into my practice .I have shared these ideas with my team and explained there importance .

Hazel was brilliant and was always there if I needed some help or advice. Unfortunately, I went through some turbulent times personally while doing the course and Hazel always checked in and offered support.

I had the most wonderful time learning with Hazel. She has always been friendly and supportive and has gone above and beyond to ensure that I took away as much as I could from this course. I will use this knowledge in my setting and I will be able to make changes through reflections. We have made many changes thus allowing us to maintain our Ofsted rating Outstanding. We have done our audit, changed the policy's, and made a welcome pack. We have also developed systems to track the children, and to improve our staff skills and training.

I became my settings SENCO 18 months ago and the SEND Diploma on Early Years has allowed me to understand and develop the role, enhancing my professional skills and helping me to support the children and their families, as well as the staff within our setting.

I I have recently completed the NCFE CACHE Level 5. I would highly recommend this course if you are looking for a higher position in a management team or planning on running your own business. Hazel provided me with online support and one-to-one support whenever needed and she was always accessible. Her experience, knowledge and guidance has been invaluable. I would highly recommend this course to others.

I am coming to the end of the teaching assistant level 3 course. I have throughly enjoyed the course. I was employed by my work placement after the first term which I am very pleased about! The course and the slight career change was something I have wanted to do for a while and I finally have done it! Hazel has been a great support and always available to talk or discuss anything. I am a Level 6 qualified Early Years Coordinator and I recently completed my Level 3 SEND Course. I was able to reflect on my current practice and make positive changes through what I was learning. I enjoyed the simplicity and organisation of the course, needing to answer pre set questions to show your understanding with all evidence stored in your own, personal portfolio. This course certainly made me more confident within my role as a SENCO

I found the Level 3 SEND course challenging but very interesting. I learnt so much over the duration of the course, all relevant to practice which I have been able to implement in setting, to strengthen our SEN offering support to both children their carers/parents. Hazel was always on hand to offer advice or guidance when needed. I would strongly recommend this course even to those already familiar with the subject because it is so comprehensive and encourages you to reflect on what you already practice.

The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce was engaging, with real-world tasks that enhanced my understanding and practical experience, supported by knowledgeable instructors and collaborative opportunities. While the training was excellent, more face-to-face interaction would further improve clarity and ease of learning. I plan to implement the techniques learned into my daily work and share insights with my team to foster continuous improvement.

The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce provided a flexible online format, allowing me to balance learning with nursery volunteering and benefiting greatly from my tutor's support. Adding interactive elements like group discussions and scenario-based resources could further enhance the training. Now, with a solid foundation in child development, I feel confident in my role and am interested in specialized training on inclusive practices and creative play for children.

The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) provided valuable knowledge that I apply daily, boosting my confidence and initiative with children. More frequent trainer visits could have supported progress, and in the future, I’m interested in training on Early Years SENDCO and inclusion. Balancing study with personal commitments was challenging, but Hazel’s support and expertise were invaluable, and more face-to-face interactions would have been helpful.

The Level 4 Childcare course provided me with extensive knowledge and invaluable support from my tutor, Hazel, who ensured I never felt overwhelmed and encouraged me throughout. The training offered practical insights that have enhanced my ability to support children and families effectively. I look forward to progressing to a Level 5 in childcare to further my teaching aspirations.

The NCFE CACHE Level 4 Certificate for the Early Years Advanced Practitioner was an exceptional experience, thanks to the accessible portfolio system and outstanding support from my tutor, Hazel. The course has equipped me with new skills and knowledge to enhance my daily practice and pursue higher roles in childcare. I’m excited to continue my learning journey with Hazel for my Level 5 qualification.
